Mornings Just Got A Lot Better

This week, Irish Community Services has been hosting Mince Pie Mornings over the borough. We gather the community, enjoy some festive tunes, have a hot drink and- of course- nibble on some mince pies and other sweet treats.

The festive fun kicked off on Tuesday at Progress Hall in Eltham where we were able to enjoy some lovely treats donated by the generous team at Asda Charlton. This was accompanied with some teas, coffees and live music from the delightful Wraggle Taggle duo. We also were given the honour of welcoming the brilliant Mayor of Greenwich, Cllr Denise Hyland who joined us for a mince pie.

Wednesday's was held in Gillingham and, today, we will be hosting alongside the wonderful Lewisham Irish at Lewisham Irish Centre. So if you're after some mid-morning plans- come on by! The Mince Pie Morning finale will be held in Bexleyheath at Bexley Council Chambers from 11am to 1pm.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that has made these events possible, from those who donated food, the volunteers, Lewisham Irish, the musicians, our wonderful team and everyone in between. Also, thank you to our amazing attendees for joining us and we hope you had as much fun as we did!

Till next time, have a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.
